Forwarding a real hotel, flight, car, or restaurant confirmation is how Archie builds your trip automatically. Since that email has your name, dates, and confirmation numbers in it, here's exactly what we do with it. No summary, no marketing language, the real mechanics.
An automated system reads the email once to pull out the details it needs: dates, destination, confirmation number, traveler name. Nobody on our team opens or reviews forwarded emails as part of this process.
Only the details the automated system pulls out get saved to your trip, plus the subject line (useful for your own reference and for us to debug a parsing miss). The full body and any attachments are read in memory to extract those details and are never written to our database.
You're forwarding to an inbox we operate for exactly this purpose, not your personal inbox. Once read, the message is labeled so it isn't re-processed. It isn't shared, sold, or used for anything beyond building the one trip it belongs to.
Every trip built from a forwarded email is editable and deletable in the app, same as one you add by hand. See deleting specific data or deleting your whole account.
This page covers the forwarded-email flow specifically. For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy. Questions? support@archie.travel.
