From YVR airport
A train called the Canada Line runs from the airport straight into downtown, with no car needed and little to work out. It is a short ride with stairs or lifts at the end. A taxi or rideshare works too if you have heavy bags.
Getting around
A reloadable Compass card works on the SkyTrain, the buses and the SeaBus, which is the little ferry to the North Shore. Check ahead for how to buy one and for fares, which change. Bike share stations are common near the seawall.
The weather
Rain is common outside summer, and the mountains are often hidden in cloud, even on a mild day. Pack a light rain layer for everyone, and use sunscreen even when it is cloudy, because the sun still burns.
First evening
Walk out to the waterfront and look at the mountains across the harbour. Day 1 begins at Stanley Park, so a slow evening and an early night will help.

Questions people ask
How many days does this plan cover?
It covers 3 days in Vancouver, planned for late June. Each day is built around a small number of stops, with room to rest.
Who is this plan for?
It was planned for most travelers. The pace and the places reflect that, so check it fits how you travel.
Is anything on this plan booked?
No. Places marked "book ahead" need a reservation. Hours, prices and availability change, so confirm before you go.
Can I plan my own days like this?
Yes. Archie drafts a day by day plan for your dates and takes your pace, the weather and who is travelling into account. You can start one from the Archie app.
Can I change this plan?
Yes. It is a starting point you can change to fit your own trip: swap a place, add a day or move the pace.
How much walking is there?
Each day has about 11.9 to 20.1 kilometers between its stops, and 49.5 kilometers in all across 3 days. A short hop is a walk and a longer one a ride. Distances are straight-line estimates, so allow extra for the streets.
